photo remise aux organismes décembre 2009_enThanks to the generosity of the employees and administrators of the Caisse populaire Orléans, roughly $2,000 was issued to four organizations in the area for assisting families in need. St. Vincent de Paul received $800, while the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre, the Orléans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre and Miriam Centre each received $400. This way, the staff members will financially assist one family in need, one student and one woman for the holiday season. From left to right in the photo: Luc Ouellette, Director of the Orléans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre; Renée Ladouceur, Director of the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre; Manon Méthot, acting Director of the Caisse; Claude Lalonde, President of St. Vincent de Paul; and Sister Rita Lacelle, Director of Miriam Centre.

Cooperative distinctionOver the course of 2008, Desjardins Group granted more than $80 million in donations, sponsorships and scholarships to Canadian communities.

Contributing to local economic development is an integral part of our mission. Therefore, the Caisse populaire Orléans is very involved in the community.

During 2009, the Caisse populaire Orléans awarded $60,000 in donations and sponsorships, to approximately one hundred organisations within Orléans and the surrounding area.
