| Dear Members: | | | It was with regret last month that the Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Mr. Joel Lalonde as General Manager of the Caisse. Mr. Lalonde had decided to seek new challenges elsewhere. Owing to this development, the Board of Directors mandated the executive committee, consisting of the president and the two vice-presidents, with conducting a replacement and hiring process.
In an effort to minimize attendant uncertainty, the Board of Directors immediately undertook to find a successor. On December 7, we hired Mr. Michel Pion for the position of Acting General Manager to assist Ms. Manon Méthot who had taken on responsibility for general management. Mr. Pion has extensive experience having worked over 26 years as General Manager in various branches of the Desjardins Movement. He is known for his leadership, customer service, good sense of business management, integrity and professionalism.
He is sure to make an immediate impact and the staff and Board of Directors warmly welcome him into our dynamic team.
Please rest assured that we will keep you informed of any new developments and we encourage you to contact us if you have any questions.
Pierre Benoit President of the Board of Directors

| | MIFO PARTNERSHIP | | | For 30 years now, the Caisse populaire Orléans has been a partner of MIFO. In fact, at the very start, the Caisse served as a meeting place for the members of the Board of Directors and various committees. That partnership has since grown through our financial contribution, our participation in a number of initiatives and activities, and the involvement of a Caisse staff member on the MIFO Board of Directors.
Over the years, the MIFO has become a really well-structured organization that is able to develop and create new programs and provide the francophones of Orléans and the larger Ottawa area with truly great artistic programming. The MIFO’s development is important to us, and to ensure their success we did not hesitate to call upon the other Caisses in the area to increase our financial contribution. Thank you to the Trillium, Rideau, Nouvelle-Horizon, Vision and Alfred Caisses for your financial support in this wonderful project. We were there 30 years ago to support the MIFO when it first started out; we are there today and will be there tomorrow as well.
Congratulations to the MIFO’s administrators and staff members of yesterday and today for their excellent work with the francophone community in Orléans.
We wish great success to the Shenkman Arts Centre of Orleans and all the projects that the MIFO will bring to fruition.

| | TESTIMONIAL | | | I would very gratefully like to acknowledge the dedication, commitment and support of the Caisse populaire Orléans towards the Mouvement d’implication francophone d’Orléans. Every year for 30 years, the caisse has supported the MIFO financially and has been involved in our activities by enabling us to offer our community a range of cultural and artistic activities that reflect the needs of the francophones and francophiles of Orléans and the greater Ottawa area. Also, this year, the Trillium, Rideau, Nouvelle-Horizon, Vision and Alfred caisses join the Caisse populaire Orléans to increase the financial contribution that enables us to offer dynamic artistic programming at the new Shenkman Arts Centre. As president of the MIFO and on behalf of all its members, I thank you for believing in us, for enabling us to continue going further and expanding our community, by playing a lead role in the growth of Ontario’s French-speaking community. Long live this wonderful partnership!
